I like some hazet tools better than most german OEM tools, far superior in innovative concepts to Stahlwille e.g. Hazet uber die andere. But ratchets. No way. Snap-on. Because Snap-on is totally sealed with gaskets and has two separated fully engaged pawls one each direction. Main problem is that liquids, dirt, goes inside mechanism and even if mechanism was perfect in origin... dirt sticks with grease or react with grease turning it into a glue and in general making a certain level of material thickness between teeth preventing right couplings to work properly. So you end up with premature wear and breakages on the rotor teeth because inversion leaver pawl can't engage full. This is especially true this days while teeth are finer than old school ratchets. Hazet are mostly very good tools indeed, but I prefer the other assembly system and mechanism over this.
This is a screw-less FOD design required for aerospace and some engineering situations. It can be stripped easily for cleaning and lube. The Snap-On FOD variant has a permanently riveted case! The Hazet mech is also stronger rated at 1000Nm
@@1maico1 Rivets closing the ratchet case cannot be dismounted while working on the airplane. When a moving Seeger for some intentional or unintentional reasons could move and be dismounted. Is that kind of FOD allowed in Germany? FOD Safety is not related only on screws but to whatever kind of object actually capable to compromise especially critical parts of the plane.
@@giuliogemino6407 Snap-On market the riveted cases as passed for aviation work. It's just a poor design though. (I should have mentioned Hazet with QR have a lower rated max torque figure of 850Nm not 1000Nm as anvils are center drilled)
Ordered the 905 1/2 inch set about a month ago and this ratchet comes with it. Really nice it will last a lifetime.
If you take good care of the tool, then definitely! Have fun with it!
This kit cost 10 euro less then the new ratchet.... what is the point of rebuild it?
sustainability
The new ratchet is around $90
Some people with over pressuring they ending up breaking this piece
Just ordered one, doubt I'll ever wear it out enough to need a rebuild!
type grease?
Hazet,Hazet,Hazet
1-2-3 meins! Life without is possible, but senseless (Loriot).
Me gusta su mecanismo ,es perfecto ,cómo puedo conseguir quien me venda una.
